Lever Brothers in England were the original makers of “Swan Soap” developed in the early 1800’s. And yes it did float. However someone at Procter and Gamble got wind of it, and stole a couple bars, made up the story about the guy going to lunch and leaving the soap machine on and voila a hoax is born. P&G did not buy the Swan label; rather, they had to come out of pocket after a law suit had been filed against them for corporate espionage. Dum-dum-duuuummmmmm!!!!!
