Coconut Milk Soap Recipe

*Read precautions on lye can before using.

20 oz. by weight olive oil
10 oz. by weight soy oil
10 oz. by weight coconut oil
3 oz. by weight castor oil
6 oz. by weight 100% lye*
2 tsp. sea salt dissolved into 11 fluid oz. water before adding lye
5 oz. coconut milk added at trace

Heat oils slowly to 100-105 degrees. Dissolve salt into water then add lye into water, stirring until dissolved. Let cool until 100-105 degrees. Pour lye solution into oil. Pour in a slow, steady, thin stream with slow even stirring. Stir until thick like honey, which is trace. This may take a long time. Add the coconut milk at trace, sirring into the mixture.
Pour into mold. Cover and keep warm for 24 hours. Cut into bars and age 4 weeks.
