On Sun, 30 Dec 2001 12:18:19 -0500 made me spill my meths when I read:
>>Does anyone have any knowledge of a roof rack with the name "Eversure Old >Hill, England" stamped into the brackets? It's approx 3/4" diameter tubing.
I used Google (my favourite) and found a reference to another Eversure products, may help in further searches:

http://www.torridgeauctions.demon.co.uk/taca1101.html
http://www.communigate.co.uk/ne/harrogatewriters/page8.phtml
They give the impression of being very old so maybe classic British car clubs, website, newsgroups or groups etc may throw some light on it.
It also comes up as a question from 1995 :) http://www.fourfold.org/RoverWeb/lro/Year-1995/951024.html#11 Guy Arnold may be able to help :)
Anyway, hope that is useful

From: Guy ArnoldI picked up a roof rack for my 1973 Series III swb yesterday from the PO.He used to deal in LRs in the late 60's and early 70's and he said this rack was an optional equipment sold by Land-Rover buy not made by them. The rack was made by a company called Eversure and made in England. What I was wondering is if they are still in business? Or if parts can be had for this rack? I am missing one of the rubber pads that the feet of rack rest in. They are white and about 2" in diameter and 1" thick with the top edge rounded off. There is hole in the top to receive the foot of the support leg. If they are available and there is a place near Portmouth that sells them, then my sister-in- law could pick one up for me. She is back and forth across the pond on a regular basis for her job so she could get it to me easily. Thanks in advance to anyone in England that can help me.

Subject: Re: [lro] Eversure Old Hill, England roof rack Howdy y'all, I've been off the list for about 2 yrs.
Later that year I bought this roof rack from Guy for myself as a Chrismas
gift. I still have it on my 74 SIII, hockey puck feet and all. I still only
have 3 of the original feet. Guy is a huge hockey fan and fashioned 4 feet
out of hockey pucks. Still works great. Mike Johnson ( Now in Montana )

Mike Johnson sent me a picture of his roof rack. Notice any difference? His is mounted in one direction and mine another. The holes in the sun sheet only allowed it to be mounted in one direction on the 109. Wonder which is correct or if it matters...the optional equipment catalog shows it with the higher sides parallel to the car side. Whatever works!

Here's another roof rack actually being put to use in Mexico
